DMCA & Copyright Policy

goTether Platform, LLC respects intellectual property rights and is committed to responding promptly to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

• Expeditiously remove or disable access to allegedly infringing materials
• Notify the content poster of the removal
• Provide information about the counter-notification process

To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must provide the following information in writing:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
• Identification of the copyrighted work(s) you claim has been infringed
• A description and specific URL location of the allegedly infringing material
• Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

• Your physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
• Your name, address, and telephone number
• A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana
• A statement that you will accept service of process from the original complainant

Timeline: If the original complainant does not file a court action within 10-14 business days of receiving your counter-notification, we may restore the removed content.

goTether maintains a strict repeat infringer policy with escalating consequences:

• First violation: Warning and content removal
• Second violation: Temporary account restriction
• Third violation: Permanent account termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts for a single serious violation at our sole discretion.

Important: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney fees.

Before filing a takedown notice or counter-notification, please ensure your claims are accurate and made in good faith.
